As you may have heard already, GitLab Cloud is now running the latest GitLab 5.3 release. You can now view a contributor graph per project, integrate with HipChat and Campfire, tweak permissions on your snippets, and get a Scrum-style overview of the issues attached to a milestone. Jacob Vosmaer joins GitLab.com as a senior service engineer
As of this week Jacob Vosmaer joins GitLab.com as a senior service engineer. He will be providing support, installation/maintenance and development services for GitLab Cloud and our support and consultancy customers. In addition, he will support the GitLab.org open source community.
After obtaining a PhD in mathematics and briefly pursuing an academic career, Jacob became a professional software developer in 2012. Motivated by his own experiences switching careers he has been helping others do the same, for instance by coaching at RailsGirls events. Today he is excited to be working on open source software and helping organisations around the world collaborate better using Git and GitLab.
GitLab Cloud upgraded to 5.2
GitLab Cloud is now running the latest GitLab 5.2 release. You can now fork repo’s, search the source code, share deploy keys between projects and with turbolinks everything should be faster as well. Enjoy!
GitLab is a Google Summer of Code project
This summer Axilleas Pipinellis will work on packaging GitLab for Fedora and RedHat in a Google Summer of Code project. We are very excited and thankful for the support of Fedora and Google. Please see Axilleas his blog post on GitLab.org for more information.
GitLab Cloud is now running on 5.1
GitLab Cloud is now running the latest GitLab 5.1 release. You can now adjust the email notification settings per project and there is a cool new network graph. Everything should be even faster as well. Happy pushing!
GitLab 5.0 was released
Today GitLab 5.0 was released. The release announcement has all the details. A lot of the improvements in GitLab where needed for GitLab.com Cloud. These performance and concurrency improvements all made their way into GitLab 5.0. GitLab.com is already running GitLab 5.0 beta and will be upgraded to stable this Sunday.
Pricing for GitLab.com announced, 10 users are free and no change until July
People wanted to know how much GitLab.com would cost them when we started charging. We are happy to announce we now have a good answer to that question.

- Unlimited private repositories for everyone
- If you have 10 users or less you pay nothing!
- We won’t start charging until July

GitLab.com upgraded to GitLab 4.1
Today GitLab.com was upgraded to the latest version. This means our 1.800 users can now use all the features of GitLab 4.0 and GitLab 4.1 One of the best features is namespacing, this was one of the most requested features.
Dmitriy Zaporozhets joins GitLab.com as a co-founder
We have great news to share today. Dmitriy Zaporozhets, the lead author of GitLab, joins GitLab.com as a co-founder. He will work full time on Gitlab from now on.
In a year GitLab has grown from a small project to more than 10.000 installations. GitLab.com has grow in the last couple of months to over 1.000 users. With Dmitriy his help we look forward to a spectacular 2013.
Upgraded to Gitlab 3.1
Gitlab.com now runs on Gitlab 3.1. Among other things it offers:
- A Web editor
- Improved File Browsing
- Performance of commits is significantly improved
